EvidenceCanvas facts in short answers.
What EvidenceCanvas is and is not, who it is for, what it costs and how your data is handled. Every answer here is generated from the same checked source as our pricing page.
What it is
What is EvidenceCanvas?
A case-preparation workspace for people going through the courts in England and Wales without a lawyer. You upload your own papers; it organises the evidence, builds chronologies and court bundles, and drafts statements and letters for you to check and file yourself.
What is EvidenceCanvas not?
It is not a law firm, is not regulated by the SRA, and does not give legal advice or representation. It does not sign, file or serve documents, and it makes no promise about the outcome of any case.
Who is it for?
Parents and others representing themselves in family court in England and Wales (child arrangements on form C100, Cafcass and section 7 reports, witness and position statements, non-molestation and occupation orders, fact-finding and financial remedy), and the McKenzie friends and independent practitioners who support them. It also covers council parking PCN challenges in England.
Who reviews the drafts?
No person at EvidenceCanvas reads a draft before you get it. Each draft is checked and fixed once by the AI, anything it could not fix is marked in the text, and you check every line before you rely on it. Review by a solicitor or McKenzie friend is optional.
Is it legal advice?
No. Nothing EvidenceCanvas produces is legal advice. For advice on your own case, speak to a solicitor, a LawWorks clinic, a Law Centre or Citizens Advice.
What it costs
What is free?
Opening an account and exploring the app is free, and there is a free plan. Paid actions such as AI reviews, drafts, large-file processing and hearing rehearsals use Action Credits; the cost is shown before you run them. In protection-order cases, the safety gateway, the without-notice builder and the C8 address shield are always free.
How much are the monthly plans?
Personal £89 a month (20 Action Credits monthly), Hearing-Ready £229 a month (55 Action Credits monthly), and Professional £499 a month (130 pooled Action Credits). EvidenceCanvas Family is £2.99 a month: a shared co-parenting record with no monthly Action Credits; bought credits can be used for preparation tools across any case type. No minimum term; cancel any time.
Is there a founding offer?
Yes: 50% off the first 12 monthly payments for the first 20 paid Personal, Hearing-Ready or Professional subscriptions started by 23:59 (UK time) on Friday 6 November 2026. That makes Personal £44.50, Hearing-Ready £114.50 and Professional £249.50 a month for 12 months, then the standard price. The founding offer closes on Friday 6 November 2026 at 23:59 (UK time), or sooner if all 20 places are taken; places already taken keep the founding price for their 12 months. See pricing.
Can I pay once instead of subscribing?
Yes. A Hearing Pass is £249 one-off: Hearing-Ready features for one hearing (until the day after it, at least 30 and at most 90 days from purchase) and 55 credits. An express document review is £19. A second-opinion statement scan and a bundle compliance check are £49 each, and a hearing bundle preparation sprint is £59.
How do credits work?
Paid actions use Action Credits. On the Personal plan one credit is worth £4.45. Credit packs cost £29 for 10 credits and £119 for 50 credits. Bought credits never expire.
How much does a council PCN challenge cost?
For a council parking PCN in England, the deadline calculator, evidence review and photo checklist are free, and the first letter draft is free (one every 30 days). Download and further letters need credits: 1 credit to download the free draft or draft another ticket, 2 credits for a revised draft after you add evidence, and an AI observation on a photo you choose to send costs 1 credit. Private parking charges, bus-lane and moving-traffic penalties are not covered. See pricing.
Is VAT charged?
No. Noverquis Ltd is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. All prices are in pounds sterling and payments are processed by Stripe.
Your data
Where is my data stored?
Your account and case material are hosted and stored in the UK, in the AWS London region. Documents and backups are encrypted at rest.
Does my data go to AI providers?
Pseudonymised extracts do. Before any text is sent to an AI model provider, names, addresses and contact details are replaced with placeholders, and a request that still contains a raw identifier is blocked. Those providers' servers are outside the UK, including in Singapore and the United States. See the Privacy Notice and Security page.
Is my data sold or used for advertising?
No. Case material is used only to help you prepare your case. It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising, marketing or profiling.
How long is it kept?
Case material is kept for the life of your matter plus 12 months. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete it within one month, apart from records the law requires us to keep, such as billing records; deleted data leaves encrypted backups within 400 days.
Can another user see my case?
No. Each matter is sealed from every other, and every page, file and action is checked against the signed-in user's access to that matter.
