What is EvidenceCanvas?
A case-preparation workspace. It keeps files, instructions, drafts and feedback together within a matter, and builds the chronology, exhibit bundle and statements from your evidence.
Who is it for?
People representing themselves in private family matters in England and Wales, and the independent family-case practitioners, McKenzie friends, freelance paralegals and small specialist practices who support them.
Is EvidenceCanvas a law firm?
No. EvidenceCanvas is not a firm of solicitors, is not regulated by the SRA and does not provide legal advice or representation.
Will it tell me what I should do?
No. Decisions about your position, prospects, evidence and what you should do require legal advice. EvidenceCanvas supports organisation and preparation.
Will EvidenceCanvas file or serve documents?
No. It does not sign, file or serve court documents and does not conduct litigation.
Can another user see my matter?
Access is assigned by user and matter, and each matter is sealed from every other. The Security page describes the controls and limits.
Is the portal a shared AI or operator chat?
No. The portal has its own controlled case thread with submitted instructions, released responses and feedback. It does not expose a raw private operator transcript.
Is AI used?
Yes. Drafts, reviews and answers about your papers are produced by AI language models. Names, addresses and contact details are replaced with placeholders before any text is sent to an AI model provider; those providers' servers are outside the UK (see our Privacy Notice). Each draft is red-teamed once by the AI and fixed before you receive it. No person checks it first, so read every one carefully before relying on it.
Are drafts sent automatically?
Yes. Each draft is released to you as soon as the software has finished its red-team pass and fixes. A STATUS block lists what changed, and anything the AI could not fix is marked ⟦TO RESOLVE⟧ in the text so nothing is buried. You can ask for another round at any time.
Is anything reviewed by a person?
No one at EvidenceCanvas reads or approves drafts before they are released. Review by a solicitor or McKenzie friend is optional, never required: you can ask one to check a draft if you want to. Nothing is legal advice, and you are responsible for checking every draft before you sign, file or send it.
Can I put documents in the website form?
No. Public website forms are for general contact only. Do not include names, allegations, case numbers or files. Upload case material only inside your own matter workspace in the app, after you register.
Can I take my matter with me?
Yes. The whole matter can be downloaded as an archive at any time.
Does EvidenceCanvas guarantee court acceptance or an outcome?
No. Case-specific directions and current rules prevail, and only the court decides what it accepts. No result is guaranteed.
Which jurisdictions are supported?
EvidenceCanvas is built for private family matters in England and Wales. The global domain does not imply global legal coverage.
What does it cost?
There is a free plan. Paid plans, one-off items and credit packs are listed in GBP on the pricing page, and every action shows its cost before you commit. Payments are processed by Stripe and appear on your statement as EVIDENCECANVAS. No VAT is charged: Noverquis Ltd is not VAT-registered.
What if my hearing or safety issue is urgent?
EvidenceCanvas is not an emergency or continuously monitored service. Do not wait for it where there is imminent danger or a deadline. Call 999 for immediate danger and seek regulated legal advice for urgent case-specific help.
When is support available?

How do corrections work?
You can give feedback on any released draft or ask for another red-team round. Corrections are linked to the record and do not silently rewrite the original instruction or evidence.
