Unfair dismissal, filed with the maths done

Dismissal claims are won on time limits and structure: ACAS early conciliation first, the right claim form, and a schedule of loss the tribunal can check line by line. EvidenceCanvas will run the clocks, gate your claim against the service rules, compute the basic award against the statutory cap, and draft the ET1 grounds annex (coming soon).

Coming soon — we're checking this document builder before anyone relies on it. Official guide in the meantime: GOV.UK — Make a claim to an employment tribunal.

What the engine does.

Coming soon — every step below is being checked before anyone relies on it.

  1. ACAS clock — free. Coming soon The early conciliation timeline (Employment Tribunals Act 1996 s.18A) computed from your dismissal date: the limitation window, the conciliation pause and restart, and the day your ET1 must be lodged — with the strict time limits flagged, because tribunals rarely extend them. GOV.UK says you usually have 6 months if the problem happened on or after 1 October 2026, and 3 months if it happened before.
  2. Qualifying service gate — free. Coming soon Two years' continuous service is the normal rule — but not for automatic unfair dismissal (pregnancy, whistleblowing, union activity and the other statutory exceptions). The gate tells you which route you are on before you spend a credit.
  3. Basic award calculator — free. Coming soon The ERA 1996 age-and-service formula against the statutory weekly pay cap for your dismissal date — computed, never estimated, and shown as a checkable schedule.
  4. ET1 grounds of claim — 4 credits. Coming soon Form ET1 Section 8.2 Grounds of Claim annex: the s.94 claim, the s.98 reason contest, the fairness factors and the timeline, structured to the tribunal's case-management questions.
  5. Schedule of Loss — 4 credits. Coming soon Certified Schedule of Loss PDF: basic award, compensatory award with mitigation deductions, benefits loss, pension and net-gross calculations.
  6. Hearing bundle — 1 credit. Coming soon Paginated hearing bundle: contract, dismissal letters, ACAS certificate, schedule and grounds.

What this is — and is not.

  • EvidenceCanvas is not a law firm and gives no legal advice; the ET1 pack will be prepared by software (coming soon) and you will check and file it.
  • Time limits in employment claims are strict and short — check them before anything else (the free clocks are coming soon).
  • The tribunal decides fairness and compensation; the calculators will apply the statutory formulae to your inputs (coming soon), and no outcome is promised.
